Katarina Podobnik (1991, Rijeka) works as an assistant at the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Rijeka, where she obtained a master’s degree in Art History and Philosophy. After professional development at the Modern Gallery in Zagreb and passing the professional exam, she acquired the title of curator. As a young curator and art historian, she mostly gathers and exhibits the young national contemporary art scene, having realized several art projects inside and outside the borders of the Republic of Croatia. She encourages interdisciplinary activities of students by the implementation of artistic and didactic projects with the end result in the form of art exhibitions. Since 2018, in the function of writing art criticism, she has been an external correspondent for the scientific and art magazines “Art Magazin Kontura” and “Vijenac”. Since 2021 she is the member of the Center for Innovative Media.
