Research field: art, new media arts, augmented and virtual reality art, artificial intelligence
With the COVID-19 crisis, many processes related to the development and use of digital technology have become visible and widely applicable in practice. The focus of social events, including education and the arts, is shifting to the digital space. The objectives of the course are to raise awareness and explore the intertwining of artistic and scientific, public and private, the phenomenon of misinformation, censorship, algorithmic populism, related to art education, work and presentation. The knowledge gained through the collaboration of mathematicians and artists, through an interdisciplinary approach, will result in an e-book that will bring together experiences and art forms developed through the project.
Programs of lectures, podcasts, conferences, workshops and online courses are planned, open to participants of all components of the University of Rijeka and applied for an open competition, at the national and international level with the possibility of participating in the YUFE network. Participants will be selected through a public competition. All participants will be invited to participate in further artistic and scientific activities of the University of Rijeka and beyond. All project results will be documented, archived and presented in various forms, including the integration of all activities into an electronic book as well as an exhibition at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka.
