The "Program Discussion 1" was held at the European Open Forum ESOF 2020, at the newly restored electric substation in Porto Vecchio, and the "Program Discussion 2” with the topic "Central European Initiative" at the CEI, the Central European Initiative Via Genova 9. In Trieste.

In the same area, a public conversation was held on the topic "Connecting Science and Art in Creating Knowledge, a Perspective for the Future of the World". On that occasion it was also presented the activities of the Center for Innovative Media.

At the end of the day it was identified the name for the initiative - "Both Ways" Art and Science beyond Borders, as a dialogue between two ways of thinking that are seemingly remote, but both can affect the future world.

The meeting was attended by Mirun Amz, scientific communicator and founder of Scientifica in Cluj (Romania); Anna Bálványos from Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest; Maja Ćirić, curator from Belgrade; Ingeborg Fülepp of the Academy of Applied Arts of the University of Rijeka; Dobrivoje Lale Erić from the Center for Promotion of Science in Belgrade; Vedrana Mikulić from the University of Rijeka; Barbara Fabro of the Secretariat of CEI; Paola Rodari, ESOF Program Manager at the Civic Program on behalf of Fondazione Internazionale Trieste with her fellow members Annalisa Cesaro and Giulia Riosa, members of the Foundation.
